Merrill Gardens Assisted Living Center
LD2000 Solid Core Plain Sliced White Maple
The signature Spanish-style fountain-filled courtyard sets an architecturally forward design at Merrill Gardens Assisted Living in Campbell, California. The Spanish architecture moves well beyond the courtyard, though, with exterior designs mimicking the beautiful landscapes and heritage found in California’s Bay Area.
Merrill Gardens operates dozens of facilities across the West, each fitting its residents into the design of the community with the facilities, services and a quality of life they desire in specialized care, independent living or assisted living options. In Campbell, the 146 senior-living apartments feature full-size kitchens and amenities that connect with common areas. Residents can enjoy a well-appointed library, living rooms, private dining and a theater, to name just a few. The expansiveness of private and community spaces all merge together in a luxurious, modern facility meant to provide residents will all their needs. And all they could want, too.
The role of Merrill Gardens—both to provide a luxurious living situation, but also to meet the varied healthcare needs of its residents—wasn’t lost on the design. First glance shows off the architecture and an eye for design details, while a closer inspection shows the facilities that serve the medical needs. Lynden Door played a part in the Merrill Gardens creation with its solid-core plain-sliced white maple door with a custom factory finish.
The white maple finish matches perfectly with the Spanish-style architecture found throughout the property. Using a custom factory finish allowed Merrill Gardens to pinpoint the exact coloring desired for their project while keeping the doors at a community known for both residential and healthcare in line with healthcare requirements. That line, though, remains aesthetically pleasing.
Veneers look rich and lustrous with a Lynden Door factory applied transparent urethane finish. A great choice, as it adds durability and seals the door, all six sides. Clear coated doors lend a unique European flair to painted jambs and casings – an eclectic look that works in equally well traditional or modernist decor.
