LEAD SHEILDING
Standard 4 lbs with 1/32" (0.8 mm) shielding layered between the core/frame assembly and the face on each side of the door, thereby elimininating the requirement for most shielding of hardware. Heavier shielding available upon request.
BONDED SANDED CORE AND FRAME ASSEMBLY
Particleboard core with an average density of 28 to 32 lbs. Stiles and rails are securely bonded to the core and sanded as a complete assembly prior to the application of the face veneers.
FACES
Architectural Hardwood Veneers (minimum 1/50" veneer before sanding), Plastic Laminate, Medium Density Overlay and Hardboard. Veneers available in a wide variety of species, cuts and assemblies. Customary veneer grading standards meet or exceed WDMA Custom Grade. Note: WDMA Premium, AWI/AWMAC Custom or Premium available upon request.
ADHESIVES
Type I PVA waterproof adhesive.
FACTORY MACHINING/DETAILING
Complete range of machining capabilities and detailing available. Lynden Door, Inc. recommends factory prefitting of all lead lined doors.
LIGHT OPENINGS
Cut-out area may not exceed 40% of the face of the door or half the height of the door to comply with the warranty. Cutouts must maintain a minimum of 5" between the cutout and the edge of the door or any other hardware prep. Light Openings not available with 20 minute positive pressure construction.
