The Allison Inn & Spa
Willamette Valley, Oregon | Products: StileLine Walnut Veneer Doors
The Allison Inn & Spa in Oregon’s Willamette Valley opened to critical fanfare by welcoming luxury accommodations to the rugged beauty of Oregon via an 85-key inn, 15,000-square-foot spa serving as a showcase to the Pacific Northwest’s wine country. The design of architects GGLO mixed massive stone fireplaces, reclaimed limestone floors, slate and a bounty of native Oregon wood inside to create the naturally rich environment guests expected from their stay.
To help design the rich interior, The Allison Inn & Spa selected Lynden Door’s artistic StileLine® doors to help mold the overall aesthetic. The European styling of the StileLine® suite of interior doors accented the Pacific Northwest materials used throughout the site and show versatility with Double Stile options that bathe rooms in natural light by mixing light panels with the natural wood.
The use of Lynden Door's StileLine® met both the architectural and technical needs of GGLO and The Allison Inn & Spa. From maple to walnut veneer doors, the property was able to mix and match wood species as needed to fit the differing design looks chosen across the nearly 155,000 square feet of interior space. The high durability in the 20-minute fire-rated doors offers a safety-first option to go with the design-forward style.
Since the opening of the Newberg, Oregon, property awarded LEED Gold and routinely finding itself on top hotel lists from Conde Nast Traveler and Travel and Leisure, The Allison Inn & Spa has put a focus on living up to its sustainable reputation, reducing water usage 37 percent and utility costs 48 percent.
Visitors to The Allison Inn & Spa arrive through a vineyard-lined drive and enjoy views of shade trees, mountains and meadows. Inside, though, the architecturally accented Lynden Doors help the entirety of design create a true Pacific Northwest retreat. In both form and function.
Wood Veneer Doors
Wood veneers look rich and lustrous with a Lynden Door factory applied transparent urethane finish. A great choice, as it adds durability and seals the door, all six sides. Clear coated doors lend a unique European flair to painted jambs and casings - an eclectic look that works in equally well traditional or modernist decor.
